Run to Win!
Pastor James MacDonald is preaching a sermon series called ‘In it to Win it.’ That resonates with us here at the GO Project! We’re not interested in a good try with marginal results. Our God, and His Kids, deserve our best! We want to be part of transforming lives and winning souls for the Kingdom.
This weekend more than 240 of our GO Project family took this running to win’ attitude literally, as they laced’em up for the GO Project’s first 5K Fox Hunt. To honor the 143 million orphans in the world, Mike Fox was ‘released 143 seconds ahead of the pack. Only the swiftest few caught Mike in this modern-day Fox Hunt, but the real winners were GO Project kids who will receive the proceeds raised. The best part of the day was that in Chicago, another GO Project 5K was underway. Team Lafwa (Hope in Creole) organized their first 5K, and many more ran to win the day for orphaned and abandoned kids.
Caring for orphaned and abandoned children in the world’s neediest countries – none of us can do everything, but all of us can do something. When we serve together, we’re so much stronger than we’re on our own. As we run this race together, we run to win!
