Mizzou Football is Impacting Children
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Through our partnership with Angel Armies, and at one of the most challenging times in American history, college football teams are using CarePortal to help meet real-time needs of children and families in crisis. One of the teams leading the way is Mizzou Football.
Through a pandemic and all kinds of strife, behind closed doors and with no fanfare, Mizzou’s players are taking a courageous stand for hurting children. Over the course of this past season, they met the critical needs of 97 families and 389 children in St. Louis, Kansas City, Cape Girardeau, Phoenix, and Los Angeles, to keep families together and children out of the foster system. And they’re just getting started.
Here’s the most beautiful thing about Mizzou Impact: it’s a two-way street. Just as the players are impacting children, the children are impacting players. Take a look at this courtesy of Mizzou Football:
