Local leaders providing shelter in the storm
Yesterday and early this morning Hurricane Sandy traveled across Cuba and the Bahamas. While Haiti and the Dominican Republic were spared from a direct hit, Sandy did bring significant rain and flooding. Lucson (GO Haiti’s Project Manager) has been in contact with our partners in the south. Partner villages at Casa Major, La Hatte, and Cherrette flooded, but local pastors had moved all children to safety; taking many of them into their homes. We’re grateful, once again, for local leaders and the local church providing care to children in God’s family!
