CarePortal’s Church of the Year 2020: Co-Recipients Pulpit Rock and World Harvest
It is our extraordinary pleasure to announce Pulpit Rock Church and World Harvest Ministries as the 2020 co-recipients of CarePortal’s annual Church of the Year award!
CarePortal is a technology platform used to help connect local churches to the most vulnerable families and children in their community. The goal of these connections is nothing short of revolutionizing both the child welfare system and the Church through their work together.
Between CarePortal’s launch in 2015 to date, more than 80,000 children have been served by nearly 2,400 local churches across 21 American states and Canadian provinces. The total economic impact of these needs has amounted to at least $26 million.
Pulpit Rock has served 631 kids in the local Colorado Springs community with an estimated economic impact of $184,184 over the course of 2020. They are locally supported on the CarePortal platform by Beautiful Redemption.
World Harvest Ministries has served 269 kids in the local Kansas City community with a conservatively estimated economic impact of $94,621 over the course of 2020. They are locally supported on the CarePortal platform by The Global Orphan Project.
The children and families their ministries have served represent an incredible story of how the Church has risen up to care for “the least of these” in a way that honors and represents Jesus Christ.
Both Pulpit Rock and World Harvest Ministries have participated as an invaluable partner to CarePortal throughout 2020, helping to launch and improve new features of CarePortal that have never been offered by any ministry platform before. The true impact they have made is something immeasurable on this side of the resurrection.
Thank you for your commitment to serving Jesus by loving and caring for families and kids. The entire CarePortal team is deeply honored to serve your ministry leaders as you represent the gospel to your community.
When we respond to CarePortal requests, we go expecting to meet a need, but often leave discovering that a need of ours has been revealed. There is always potential for transformation. This won’t happen every time, but the heart of CarePortal is this: to experience Jesus through real, meaningful connection with our neighbors.
