A BIG Day in Kabale
From Alison Barfoot in Uganda
Today was a BIG day. It was the day when we made our first visit to The Father’s House. It was an emotional day and a love fest. We spent the morning touring The Father’s House, going home by home, meeting the mother and her children, and praying with them. Then, the children sang and danced for us.
In the afternoon we visited the local church-founded Primary School called Rwere Primary School. It’s just across the street from The Father’s House and the foundation has been dug and the bricks are being laid for the foundation. They tell us that the building will be finished for the start of school in two weeks!
Then, the Children’s Camp began, and what fun we had. Twenty youth from the Cathedral congregation joined us to help with the Camp. We had three centers for activities: games, puppets, and coloring. Our theme was the Parable of the Sower and we started the camp by introducing the Proclaimer, which is the New Testament recorded in their local language. After moving to the three centers, everyone gathered together and the youth led the children in closing songs. Then, we lined up the children according to size and distributed The Father’s House t-shirts to everyone. It was a great day!
Blessings,
