Stand Together Foundation Selects The Global Orphan Project for Growing Catalyst Program
The Global Orphan Project (GO Project) is among 14 nonprofits selected to participate in Stand Together Foundation’s Catalyst Program, a six-month management training and peer-learning program that equips nonprofits with new tools and approaches to deepen their impact and expand their reach.
Nonprofits joining the program are recognized for disrupting the status quo, demonstrating “outside-the-box” thinking, and embracing community-driven and people-centered approaches to transform the lives of more than one million Americans through bottom-up empowerment. Since its launch in 2015, GO Project’s technology platform CarePortal has been expanding across the nation, empowering churches and community members to intercede for the over 4 million U.S. children involved in the child welfare system. Today, CarePortal is being used by more than 3,200 churches across 28 states to deliver vital resources and relationships to over 100,000 children and counting.
Hundreds of nonprofit organizations were vetted and evaluated before the final 14 were accepted into the program. “This group of 14 leaders represents incredible innovation in the nonprofit sector,” said Evan Feinberg, Executive Director at Stand Together Foundation. “They are already challenging status quo approaches and helping individuals transform their lives in their communities. Together, we hope to deepen their impact both in their communities and across the country.”
GO Project leaders who are working to enhance and expand CarePortal will participate in the program and network with a community of other nonprofit leaders to learn new strategies for growth, scale, and replicated success.
“We are so excited to be selected for this program,” said Adrien Lewis, Chief Innovation Officer at GO Project and creator of CarePortal. “We look forward to collaborating with and learning from other social entrepreneurs who are disrupting the status quo and fueling innovative solutions to address our country’s most complex problems.”
The program officially kicks off on March 22, 2022. The 13 other organizations to join Stand Together Foundation’s Catalyst Community include The Colossian Forum, EforAll, Essential Partners, Found Village, Frederick Douglass Project for Justice, Hope Renovations, Inside Circle, Prison Yoga Project, SailFuture, SaverLife, Shepherd’s House, Think Tank, Inc., and Unshattered.
