Running for (and with) chickens!
At last Saturday’s fifth annual GO Project Family 5K, several hundred runners realized that it is sometimes easier to run for children and chickens than to run past this fast chicken.
Why all the chicken talk? Chickens, raised on our GO Haiti farm, provide much needed nutrition for hundreds of children and jobs for workers in Haiti. The poultry farm also serves as a vocational training center for teenagers in the Pathways program. Thanks to the many of you who participated by running, walking or supporting a team in the GO Project Famly 5K, we are able to purchase 266 chickens, providing 2,660 meals for children who were once orphaned and abandoned before coming into the care of our local partner churches.
We won’t be running for children and/with chickens again until next May, but you can still purchase a Haitian chicken for $10, which is then sent to feed children in our partner’s care. You can also start a myGO to raise support for more chickens, or help out one of these great myGO Projects HERE>>
