Abierto la puerta (Open the door)

Last night at Brisas Del Este, church leaders from Restoracion gathered to pray. One was a lawyer who has donated her time to file paperwork on behalf of the ministry. Others were house mammas to be, pastors, ladies with hearts for missions and prayer.

We read Scripture from Mark about Jesus’ heart for niños (Let the little children come to me and hinder them not). We praised God for all in the Brisas family from KC to Alabama to Florida to the DR. We gave thanks for the progress on the grounds to date. The local church has paid for landscaping with money from their congregation. The homes are beautiful, secure, and are only missing one main thing – children. And, so, we asked God to open the door to children who need family.

We have a meeting today (Thursday) with CONANI, DR’s child protection agency. We prayed for God’s favor with them.

Some women broke into song. The worship continued more than an hour and a half. When finished, no one was in a hurry to rush off. All stayed awhile to enjoy the evening and the friendship with one another. It’s what families who love each other do.

Brisas is part of our GO Project family. For more than a year, we have been praying for the doors to open so that the church can become family for children in need. In faith, we believe it will happen.
