Days are long. Years are Short.
“The days are long, but the years are short.” An “empty nester” recently made this statement with respect to caring for children. Parents know it’s true. It’s true in America, and it’s true in Africa, as validated by a picture sent to us by John Travis, a GO Project partner who champions “Safe Home” in Liberia.
All five of these Safe Home children holding their graduation certificates “made the mark” to move ahead in school. One, Nathaline (center) came to Safe Home as a kindergarten student. John and others, like Doug Portell, have poured their heart into her through prayer, financial support, and hands-on care. Long days. Nathaline is now in 5th grade on her way to becoming a young lady. Short years.
Thank you for investing in the lives of children! May God use our efforts to help provide children with long days of safety, security, education, family, and love, so that as the years go by the hope and victory in Jesus shines brightly for all to see!
