Expanding opportunity
We are expanding apparel production in Haiti to create more jobs! Our original production center has grown beyond its capacity, and we are finally ready to expand into a 24,000 sq. ft. facility where we will make beautiful products for GOEX and other private labels seeking a “fair trade” production environment.
Paula Coles runs the production boutique in Haiti that makes all GOEX clothing, and Jeff Blatt is the COO of the production center. He is one of the most accomplished apparel production experts in Haiti, and led a company that produced 1.2 million Hanes® tees per week. He left all of that to join Paula and GOEX to change lives and revolutionize how we view “fashion.” As we speak, Paula and Jeff are orchestrating a move from a 2,400 sq. ft. space to a 24,000 sq. ft. space. Please pray for and encourage them. They are amazing.
Job creation is at the heart of our ministry and our partners. Our church partners have raised children (who have been abused and abandoned) as part of their family. When these children (now young adults) turned 18, they didn’t know what to do. Those children are now in the Haiti Pathways Program, studying trades and preparing to change the world!
Several students studied tailoring and are now ready for employment. Soon, some of them will have a chance at making the clothes you wear, and they will lead different lives than their parents were able to provide them.
Here is the graduating class who studied tailoring:
