Riding Bikes
The Tour d’Haiti crew could not have asked for a better day. After riding and visiting children’s villages for six hours, we grabbed a quick bite, shower and loaded up. We’re now headed to Les Cayes on two buses. For the last hour and a half we’ve seen downtown Port Au Prince up close. For many of the riders, it’s the first time they’ve seen the tent communities, which still exist. Even for “seasoned veterans,” that reality is difficult to reconcile, but does powerfully highlight the need to help those who are helping. We’ll arrive late tonight and will be in church early tomorrow. Visiting three more GO Project villages, it’ll be another full day, and we’re grateful. Below are the children at Source de la Grace Jumecourt riding their new bikes.
