India needs our help to fight COVID-19
On May 1, India set a devastating world record by surpassing 400,000 daily COVID cases. The country is in a state of crisis with cases surging at an alarming rate and a rising death toll of over 200,000 people. Workers say there are so many dead bodies to burn that they must cut down trees in city parks to use for kindling.
The situation is dire and COVID is pushing the country’s health system to the brink of collapse. Hospitals are overcrowded and running out of beds. There are shortages of oxygen, medicine, ventilators, PPE, COVID tests, and vaccines. Members of our own GO India staff along with their family members and dozens of our local church partners have been affected. Some face a long recovery ahead while others unfortunately are not likely to recover.
COVID has put many parents out of work. Families are experiencing medical challenges and rising expenses. Food supplies are scarce and the overwhelming deaths are leaving children without parents and caregivers.
We in the U.S. are incredibly fortunate to have access to COVID vaccines, and more than half of adults have gotten at least one dose. As our return to “normal” is beginning to occur, less than 10% of India’s population has been vaccinated. They need our assistance and they need it now.

Donate today and help serve the greatest needs of children suffering from the fallout of COVID in India and around the world. Our local church partners have remained committed to caring for children and families with excellence throughout this crisis, and your donation will expand their capacity to meet increasing needs and help more people affected by COVID. Your gift can provide food, aid with medical needs and expenses, supply PPE, and deliver care for children without family.
