CAFO Summit Happens Today!
Today and tomorrow, the Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO) is hosting its annual summit. The summit is designed to equip Christians for deeper work in orphan care, offering a number of workshops and gathering spaces for like-minded believers. Representatives from the CarePortal team are in attendance, seeking to learn from others engaged in the child welfare system as well as share about the work being done to engage the church across the country.
The GO Exchange (GOEX) is a Champion Sponsor of this year’s Summit. Like CarePortal, you may recall that GOEX is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Global Orphan Project. We like to say that GOEX is the world’s first orphan-owned company, as 100% of the profits are given to orphan care. If we consider The Grid, we recognize that prevention efforts are an important piece of any orphan care solution. If we apply The Grid to the world of international orphan care, GOEX is dedicated to the Prevention column, seeking to provide jobs to those who are looking to care for their family.
Will you join us in praying for the CAFO Summit? As individuals and churches gather to discuss the Christian’s responsibility and the local church’s opportunity to care for orphans, we pray that the Holy Spirit will fill the conference. We pray that the members of the body seek unity in their efforts to care for the orphan. We pray that wisdom, humility, and discretion may rule the day.
