Pay back…in the best way.
Recently, we received this e-mail from Tim Downs, who is GO Project’s partner championing children who need family in the Ivory Coast, Africa:
One of our young men, Eric, came to us as an adolescent from a life of living on the street with his sister. While growing up in The Bethesda Home, he was trained as an electrician and has since begun working full time. He is “employed” by an older electrician, but has quite a lot of business of his own and makes a good living. As we came up to the time to put our children in school, Eric was aware that this is always a difficult time financially and gave to sponsor 2 children himself. This gift represents around 2-3 months’ salary for him and was given at real sacrifice. However, he felt led of God to “give back”…
I recall one time quite some time ago, when Angie Enegren was working at the GO Project office, she sent me a note telling me that she would be particularly praying for Eric. This is an amazing answer to prayer.
Thank you for all that you do on behalf of children worldwide.
Blessings,
Tim
No, Tim, thank you for all you do on behalf of God’s children, and thank you GO family for providing care for the “young Erics” of the world. Only God knows how He will use them to “pay back” when they grow up, be we do know that it will be good!
