Overview
The GO Fellowship Program requires a six-month commitment to living and working overseas. Although GO Project will provide for our fellows’ basic needs such as: one round-trip airline ticket, two meals per day (which is all the locals eat) and room and board, GO Fellowship is a VOLUNTEER opportunity. Those accepted into the program will be required to raise support for all other expenses related to the position.
Core Responsibilities
The main focus of the GO Fellowship Program breaks down into three primary areas: communications, project management and trip logistics.
Communication
- Coordinate communications between GO Haiti Field Operations and GO Project Headquarters
- Coordinate live communications from the field through social media outlets
- Coordinate communications between GO Haiti field ops and GO Project US Partners
Project Management
- Research, develop, and manage new projects to meet current GO Project in-country needs
- Manage new village development and construction from inception to launch
- Create viable, sustainable solutions for higher education
Trip Logistics
- Assist with GO Project vision trip logistics
- Provide assistance to The Jumecourt Inn’s daily operations
- Provide assistance to and act as a guide for vision trip members
Desired Skills/Experience
- Strong GO Fellowship candidates may possess a variety of the following characteristics:
- Overseas travel experience to developing nations
- Self-motivation, strong leadership and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new cultures
- An understanding and appreciation of the GO Project vision
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with social media applications and basic Microsoft® products including Excel
- A love for children and a servant’s heart
