GO Project Family 5K

English Landing Park | Parkville, Missouri

Join The Global Orphan Project for a morning of fun and exercise at the sixth-annual GO Project 5K, and run for children and chickens!

Prizes will  be awarded to the top competitors overall, team who raises the most support, and team with the most members. After the race, stay for a pancake breakfast and kids’ activities. Keeping with tradition, during the race runners who catch the infamous ‘Fox’ (a person released 2 minutes prior to the start) will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate.

Why are we running for children and chickens? Chickens, raised on our GO Haiti farm, provide much needed nutrition for hundreds of children and jobs for workers in Haiti. The poultry farm also serves as a vocational training center for teenagers in the Pathways program. Last year we were able to purchase 266 chickens, providing 2,660 meals for children who were once orphaned and abandoned before coming into the care of our local partner churches.
