Update from Moise
Pastor Moise Vaval, Live from Haiti, with Notes from The GO Project Peanut Gallery in KC
NOTE: The government has decided Renise’s baby should live with her. MOISE: Renise is doing fine with baby. UNICEF is visiting frequently. We hired Astrid to help.
MOISE: Stephanie definitely is not doing well…difficult situation. We need prayer on this. NOTE: Stephanie is 14 and has only been with us a few weeks. The reality is that many of The GO Project children come from life situations that are, as Moise communicated, “difficult.” We need God to move! Please pray for Him to heal the wounds in this young lady.
MOISE: Zagalo, 14, was taken to Love a Child yesterday. Good news: they took an X-ray. His foot is healing good, and he will be able to walk very soon. NOTE: Thinking of Zagalo always makes me smile. The last time I took him to Love a Child, he put on some cologne before we left. I guess he wanted to be prepared in case a cute nurse rewrapped his foot; no such luck – at least that time. Hearing he will walk again soon is great news!
MOISE: UNICEF agent just brought in a new boy: 15. They have no place to send him. UNICEF and IBES are both now convinced that we are the right people to work with. We received official letter from Madamme Pierre stating that they place Renise with us. NOTE: This is a huge blessing and answered prayer. It’s a big step in allowing us to provide care for more orphaned and abandoned children who need to feel the safety and security of family. Praise be to God!
MOISE: I took Kesnel Joseph to Gonaives yesterday. He was introduced to the next two villages. We could not meet with Pastor Benoit. He had pastor conference and was translating. But we visited space with Jn Philippe. NOTE: Moise, Joseph, Claude, Kender, Gladys, Carmelle and other local Haiti GO Project leaders are driving our ministry forward with an appropriate sense of urgency. Under their leadership, one major facility (the OTV) has been upgraded; two new facilities have been completed (Juli’s and Calix’s); three more are under construction, and five more are planned. They’ve hosted more than 100 Americans serving on missions teams since the quake with close to another 200 planned this quarter, and most importantly, God uses them to care for 2,317 beautiful children in Haiti. What a privilege to serve the Lord with them!
MOISE: God bless U all NOTE: Bonjay Benihou, Moise! Nos remen ou! (God bless you, Moise! We love you!)
