Waiting for Mondays
By Trip Manager Stephanie Mutert
One of the things I love seeing at the villages during the school day are the younger kids who have so much excitement to be in school. They wait through the entire weekend for school to start again. Mondays are not dreaded by kids who cannot wait to get back to school…they are celebrated!
As I walked by this classroom, the teacher was at the back pointing to shapes and asking the class to say what they were and the particular colors. Then one lucky classmate was chosen to go to the chalkboard to draw that shape. Holding the chalk, being at the chalkboard and showing the entire class you know what you are being taught is quite the treat for these young students and a great opportunity for us to pray that excitement grows as they get older.
