Update from Rukore
Update from Hilary Byorugunda, Regional Manager for GO Africa and Church of Uganda Father’s House.
Staff Fellowships have been taking place at Rukore, and we thank God because the mamas who care for children have been served by others. God has used fellow moms in the community to minister to each another every Saturday.
Reading competitions have also taken place, and the winners get the opportunity to read lessons on Sundays during Sunday Services.
Primary students from the Kafunjo Primary school are preparing to take their exams and are hopeful to begin secondary school next year. The students’ academic performance is also improving due to extra instruction classes conducted after school. A total of 33 pupils are to take this year’s primary leaving exams (PLE).
The Father’s House at Rukore has planted crops such as maize, beans, Irish potatoes. They have now consistently used the Farming God’s Way method. The Farming God’s Way method has been important in teaching biblical principles, management skills, and farming techniques to the Father’s House.
The Father’s House at Rukore is grateful for your continued support. We are also looking for new ministry partners! If you would like to support the children at the Father’s House in Rukore, please contact Ryan Hudnall at [email protected].
