Toilets for Tots – A Different December
Clothes, jewelry, and toys are typical U.S. presents. At Christmas, we give these, because our “stuff†works. Water comes out of faucets. Toilets flush. Ovens cook. When our stuff breaks, we fix it. If these necessities weren’t available, our Christmas lists would be different. Drinking water, food, proper restroom and cooking facilities are health and safety issues.  Providing a safe home for orphaned and abandoned children is our top priority. Children who feel safe can learn, laugh, and love with freedom and joy.
We went to our villages to identify our kids’ most urgent, unfunded needs. Some wells have gone dry. Latrines and kitchens need repair. The list goes on and totals $289,000. So, we’re doing something different this December. Instead of an attractive, full-color Christmas catalog, we’ve decided to simply lay out what the kids need most – no matter how ugly or base.  Our ask of you and the rest of The GO Family is to generously give to those things nobody really wants to fund – like a toilet. All general donations this December will GO toward meeting the basic needs of our children.
