Reach, Teach, Teach to Reach
If you blink, you just might miss it. 4473 Adams Street Kansas City, Kansas. This is the home of Rosedale Community Church. A tiny church with a huge heart and even bigger mission, showing neighborhood kids the love of Jesus.
Led by Pastor Allen Elsey, Rosedale comes in contact with nearly 350-400 children per week. The team uses school buses to bring kids to a local community center on Wednesday and Thursday evenings for youth nights and to Church service on Sunday mornings.
The mission of Rosedale is to aggressively and methodically offer a threefold program specifically targeted to reach youth and their families:
- To Reach out to the lost and share the love of Christ
- To Teach those we reach how to live as Christ would live
- To Teach others to Reach back into the community
The Lord is also pulling on the heart strings of Allen and his young staff to care for the children in need of a family. Pastor Allen stated, “It is tougher in some ways than I was expecting, but I have peace that it is the right thing. God is sure stretching me, he is also providing.”
The love for Jesus and His children is spewing out of Rosedale. You might not notice the church, but you can see and feel the impact that they are having on the children in their community.
