Planting Crops
“If you want a return this fall, invest in corn. If you want a return in 10 years, invest in trees. If you want a return 20, 50, 100 years from now, invest in a person.”
This African proverb took me to God’s heart for His children; the reason GO Project exists.
Each day, we make investments in education, career, relationships, in ourselves, in others, etc. Some yield quick returns. Others, like raising children, are much slower, possibly bearing no visible fruit for years.
If one believes that all children are immortal souls, created in the image of God, for His purposes, what kind of crops we’re planting takes on an increasing level of importance.
Thank you, GO family, for choosing to wade through the mire, overcome the barriers, and invest in the lives at children at the end of line. Your love will produce crops overflowing with eternal significance.
