Photo Update from Koncko, Ethiopia
GO Project is partnering with the Koncko Kale Heywet Church and Zewudie Bachore to care for orphaned and abandoned children in Koncko, Ethiopia. The Koncko Kale Heywet Church was founded by Zewudie’s father (about 60 years ago) before he was imprisoned for his faith. Since then, the church has outgrown the original building and a new, larger church one has been built on the same grounds. Zewudie’s desire to help the people and children of Koncko is beginning to come to life…
A welcome from a student who attends the local school nearby. Koncko is a
rural community off the main highway, approximately 30 minutes south of Hossana.
Children’s homes under construction at The Father’s House, Koncko.
Going to school: children from the surrounding community attend a small,
local school near The Father’s House site.
These stick and mud structures set on a concrete foundation and have a tin roof, which
is typical for this area. (On this home the mud has not yet been applied.)
