One colorful day
By GO Fellow Sarah Herrera
Crazy Crayola colors always make for a happy day, and the group activities taking place at Leogane are never a disappointment. Whether blank paper and pens or coloring pages and crayons, the children gathered across tables and floors are put to work on their imaginations. No color combination is out of question, and these kiddos exercise that notion to the fullest. The teachers and guardians laugh and encourage as the young ones set about their work with determination and intrigue. The end results are always wall-worthy, making for full afternoons of happy educators and happier creators.
Often the coloring books are full of Bible stories and familiar characters, making the fun-filled days of creativity exciting and educational. Aside from coloring, they are indulging in relationships, happy to play and conspire with one another.
