Not just a slab
What might look like a slab of concrete to us is much more to our partners at Bethel Gospel Church in, India. With their community in Sarampet now caring for children, producing food, and continuing to grow, their focus recently turned to launching an orphan care/orphan prevention ministry in downtown Hyderabad. Land in urban India is scarce, so the church is building “up,” making space on the roof of the current church for children’s homes and other outreach programs. It’s wonderful work, but some are not happy.
The bible says, “The cross of Christ is foolishness to those who are perishing.” (1 Cor 1:18) Not everyone in Hyderabad is pleased with Bethel’s plan to care for orphans and children in need. Their objections are real, legitimate concerns, so we have been praying for this project and celebrated when we received these pictures and this e-mail from Mary Priscilla, our partner and GO India’s Field Director:
“Dear brothers, Thank you all for the prayers. Everything went well and finally without any disturbance. God is always good! Mary”
Amen!
