More Blessing
Sometimes in the busyness of life, when there is more month at the end of the paycheck or when we read stories about neglect and dysfunction, we forget what Psalms 127:3 teaches us: Children are a blessing from the Lord.
Recently, we received this e-mail from Jocelin on our GO Haiti team:

Nine new kids were dropped at (a GO Project-partner) village by UNICEF. These kids were found on the streets. I have a document for each of them with their personal information and their story. Their documents will be handed to Jessica, so she can record their infos….With this email is attached a picture of them. What do you think?
Blessings!

Here is what we think: we think these children were created by the hands of the Almighty Himself. He is their Father, and He has a plan for their lives. We think they’ve had a pretty rough go of it to be where they are, and we’re grateful for the chance to let them know that they are not alone. We welcome the opportunity to help provide them with a safe place to live, regular food to eat, maybe a few games of soccer or jump rope to bring a smile to their beautiful faces, and to share the Good News with them to bring a smile to their eternal souls.
While we recognize many of their stories are more than difficult, we celebrate the opportunity to let them know that, whatever else they’ve heard, they are, in fact, a blessing from the Lord!
