Love comes in all forms…even chalk!
By GO Fellow Sarah Herrera
The excitement surrounding visitors radiating from the All In One Family village is extraordinary. Top off their love for new friends with an interacting group of high school students, in addition to endless creativity, and you’ve got a recipe for a pure and genuine good time.
Speaking of such creativity, the village’s most recent visitors performed dramas for the children, sang with them, and went so far as to let the kiddos paint their faces with chalk. Love definitely comes in all forms and fashions…and colors! What started as one child with an aimless handful of chalk soon transpired into a team of children attacking the trip goers’ faces…and their own. From both dark and light to merely “color,” the photos taken that day consisted mainly of bright faces being held by tiny hands while acting as canvases for the little artists. Some began slowly, the child at work full of a steady concentration in order to complete a true masterpiece. However, that didn’t last long! Once one child grabbed a visitor’s face, then another latched on, and within moments there was an erupting circus of clowns and laughter. Needless to say it was a happy day and a memorable time with plenty of photos to show for it.
