Vision Trips to Uganda, dubbed by Winston Churchill as the ‘Pearl of Africa’, vary from two-week expeditions to shorter one-week trips. Both include visits to GO Project’s partner-led villages. On a Vision Trip to Uganda you will see and experience the vision of culturally relevant, local church-based orphan care, build relationships with local church leaders and members caring for the children, and spend time playing with and loving the children living there. Activities are similar to what you would do with your own kids – singing, games, crafts, hugging and holding.
GO Project’s partner-led villages are located in northern and western Uganda. Depending on the length of your trip, you will visit either the north, west or both. The longer two-week option also allows time to visit Murchison Falls National Park and Lake Mburo National Park, with the option of including additional activities such as gorilla trekking or white water rafting.
The all-in cost for a one-week Vision Trip to Uganda starts at $1,000* plus airfare, which includes lodging, food for two meals per day (which is what we eat while there), transportation to, from, and while in Uganda, insurance and an administrative fee. Two-week Vision Trips to Uganda start at $1,500* plus airfare. We will purchase your airfare unless prior arrangements have been made. Groups can range in size from 12 to 20 people, but space is still limited. Each Vision Trip has a trip leader who will provide trip goers with other specifics and is available to answer questions about the trip.
