GO Project Family 5K

Run for orphaned and abandoned children around the world.

Saturday, May 17th, 2014

English Landing Park | Parkville, Missouri

Join The Global Orphan Project for a morning of fun and exercise benefiting children in need around the world. This year, we’re running for children and chickens! Chickens provide much needed nutrition for children and jobs for workers in Haiti.

Prizes will  be awarded to the top competitors overall, team who raises the most support, and team with the most members. After the race, stay for a hot breakfast and kids’ activities. Keeping with tradition, during the race runners who catch the infamous ‘Fox’ (a person released 2 minutes prior to the start) will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate.

Brian Boyd Kids’ Half-Mile Fun Run (FREE, no registration required; T-shirt, timing chip, bib and post-race breakfast ticket not included.) This year, we look forward to honoring the life of an amazing young man, Brian Boyd. In 2010, Brian served on a vision trip. In Haiti, he beautifully displayed his compassion for the vulnerable. He was a champion to the underdog, loving the least of these, though that is not how Brian saw orphans or how they felt when they were with him. Children were drawn to him! On May 17th, 2013, Brian went to be with the Lord. This May 17th, as part of our GO Project Family 5K, children here will enjoy The Brian Boyd Kids’ Fun Run. What better way to remember Brian’s heart than to once again see God’s kids running, laughing, and having fun! Thank you, Brian, for showing how to love so well!
