A Teacher helping Teachers. Children’s books helping Children.
Nothing is more fun than watching God move. This fall, Amy Gibson contacted us. Amy is a school teacher in California. She’s also a gifted author, who wanted to take a book advance from her most recent children’s tale and use it to bless other children. We loved Amy’s heart. We love learning more about her desire to care for children, and there it stayed…for awhile.
Last week we received an e-mail from Pastor Peter Maseko, our partner and champion for children at Pothawira (Safe Haven), Malawi. School at Pothawira opened in September. With a few months under his belt, Peter better understood his operating budget and shared his need for ongoing support at the school.
The opportunity – Malawi, teaching, and children – lined up with Amy’s passions. She generously committed to paying salaries for six school teachers for the rest of the school year; using the fruit of her children’s book to help other children learn to read books. A teacher in California investing in teachers in Malawi. Love it!
Nothing is more fun than watching God move. We’re grateful!
