December 9 is CarePortal Day in Kansas City
We’ve got exciting news, CarePortal friends. Kansas City Mayor, Sly James, has issued a proclamation establishing Dec. 9, 2018 as CarePortal Day.
Why? Because churches across the country are coming together to do exactly what Jesus calls us to do: love our neighbors.
PROCLAMATION
establishing December 9, 2018
as ‘CarePortal Day’
in Kansas City, Missouri
WHEREAS, addressing the complex physical and social needs of children and families today is fundamental to the future of the City of Kansas City;
WHEREAS, the need for comprehensive, coordinated services for children and families places upon our community a critical responsibility;
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that a day should be set apart each year for the direction of our thoughts toward those who serve our children and families in child welfare through use of the CarePortal platform;
WHEREAS, The Global Orphan Project, through its unique approach to serving children and families in child welfare by connecting them to the local church, is effectively caring for the physical and social needs of children and families in our community;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Sylvester James, Mayor of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, on behalf of the citizens of this great city and the City Council, do hereby proclaim December 9, 2018 as ‘CarePortal Day’ in Kansas City, Missouri.
Be encouraged, CarePortal community, because your example of faith, unity, collaboration and generosity is exactly what our world needs more of — and the world is taking notice!
