Met a wonderful team of folks from Community Christian Church in Naperville, IL at the airport today. They are here to spend the next 5 days loving on our kids here at the OTV and surrounding area. They got to get a head start on their Haiti tans with the ride from the airport and are chomping at the bit to get a soccer game and some singing going here.

I am especially excited about this group because they are the church that ‘multiplied’ my home church, Restore, in Kansas City. My great friend and Pastor, Troy McMahon, was on staff there and followed God’s call to plant in KC. We met at a Park Hill football game in 07, joined in the launch in March, ’08 and then took Troy and sons Mitch and Jake on their first Haiti trip in June 08. Troy felt God leading Restore to plant a church in Haiti, cast the vision and challenged them to join in and did they ever. In November 08, I was with Mike and Beth Fox leading a trip in Haiti, that included Janet McMahon, and she got the call from Troy that 6 month old Restore raised enough to support the church, school and homes for over 100 kids in Cavaillon, Haiti. Now they’ve sent many teams to visit and want to help Cav reach out to their community with a school/feeding program. What a blast!! Thanks to Community for following God s call to multiply, to Restore for embracing orphans in Haiti with all their hearts, and to all of you who are supporting this great work of our Lord that is going on in many parts of Haiti. And, there’s much much more to come.
