Come-on, Church
Long Hollow in Nashville hosted Moise and I this past weekend as part of its Crazy Love campaign. Wow! God is on the move – big. We were blown away by the Spirit of the Living God. Thanks, LH friends! Click on to Long Hollow’s site, and watch Pastor David’s message from Sunday. www.longhollow.com.
This gets us so fired up. 3 years ago, local church engagement here was barely a ripple. Today, the church is a gathering tsunami. Across denominational lines, this is an all Jesus, straight-up, crazy love, welcome all with open arms, fearless, give it away, we get more than we give, risk taking tidal wave of the Almighty – that happens to be playing out through orphaned and abandoned kids. Long Hollow; Spanish River; Colonial Pres; Pleasant Valley; Restore Community Church; Westside Family Church; All Saints Pres; Christ Church; Midway Baptist; Redeemer Fellowship; Mount Olive Baptist Church; Faith E-Free; Fellowship of Grace; Buckhead Church; First United Methodist – Shreveport; Istrauma Baptist; First Baptist Nashville; Stanley Pres; etc; etc… It’s UNbelievable.
Families are going strong in this fight – always have been. More kids and schools are engaging. More companies. Come on!
Now the cavalry’s coming. The church.
There is a Movement afoot through the church to care for kids. God’s transforming lives there. And He’s transforming lives here in the most personal ways. When the local church here catches the bug, there’s a transformation multiplier on both the here and the there sides.
Trust us: this is not just about orphan care. There’s a power of Almighty God at work.
Come on, Church!
