Blessings at Gulu
Update by Gloria Piker, Coordinator of St. Philip’s Father’s House, Gulu Uganda
In the last few months the children have participated positively in the church, knowing that it is the church that is supporting them. The things they do include singing, reading the bible, and cleaning the church (especially in the evenings on Tuesday for Wednesday prayer days).
We were also visited recently by one of the nursery schools called Little Harvard. They came see the children to show them love, telling the children at the Father’s House they are the future leaders who will guide and show direction. They shared what they had with the children like biscuits, safi, and so forth.
A training was also held about Farming God’s Way and solar installation. Now Father’s House looks brighter and has power!
We also had a meeting about the guidance of the children, with the main purpose to encourage the children so they know that they are very important to us.
We were also visited by the probation officer with the minister of labor and Gender
The community also contributed to the children at the Father’s House and gave the following:
Furniture and supplies given by War Child Canada
Food from a member of the St. Phillip’s Church
Food brought by a local friend of the Father’s House
