Another Good Day at GO Project
At GO, a good day is any day where we get to send funds to the field to meet the needs of local children and families in crisis. This morning, I was cc’ed on this e-mail from Jake Barreth, GO’s Director of International Orphan Care…
GO Haiti Team:
Attached is the draft wire for November. Please take a look and let me know if I need to make any adjustments. I have included the additional funds for beds and mattresses, as well as additional Hurricane repair funds for La Hatte. I am so grateful GO Project is able to help our partners rebuild after the storm. So far, Darivager is repaired. The new home at Cassamajor has been repaired. La Hatte will receive all of the funding that they need for repairs — their homes, kitchen, latrine and school. God loves his children in Haiti! He has protected them through the storm and continues to provide for their needs.
God bless, Jake
A bank wire becomes beds and mattresses for children who were sleeping on concrete floors after the storm. Roof repairs and kitchens rebuilt means that the family gets to move back into their home. How did it happen? Because of you! Together, hundreds of you gave more than a hundred thousand dollars to ensure that the lives of hundreds of children across southern Haiti would GO on after Hurricane Matthew. What a privilege to care for them with you!
DARIVAGER — Damages caused by Hurricane Matthew have been repaired at Darivager, a village home to nearly 60 children in the care of one of our local church partners.
