A Vision for Family
Life can be so much richer and deeper than our initial plans and hopes. Such is the case with what God is doing in the DR.
13 previously orphaned and vulnerable children live at Casa Amor (Love House), led by Restoracion, a charismatic, Caribbean Church, with orphan care operating costs sponsored by NO LONGER, an Alabama-based non-profit with strong ties to the First Baptist Church in Trussville. Their school is founded by a bilingual Miami business lady whose family has Catholic, Cuban roots, At GO, all we can do is sit back, smile, and give praise to Jesus.
This week, NO LONGER took the first Vision Trip to Casa Amor in the DR. God willing, there will be many more. What did they see? A vision of God’s family. People from different countries, different races, different generations, socio-economic backgrounds, speaking different languages, all being brought together by the love of the Father being lived out with brothers and sisters they just met.
Casa Amor is not what we had planned. It experienced delays and frustrations, comings and goings that we would have never foreseen, but in His time and in His much-better way, God brought life to the Love House and has given us a vision for His family in the process that we never could have imagined.
